Grand Rapids Public Museum – Clapp Family Mastodon

In October of 2024, our scanning technicians travelled to Grand Rapids Michigan to scan the bones of a nearly complete Mastodon skeleton discovered just north of Kent City along 22 Mile Road in 2022. Once our staff arrived in Grand Rapids they began the process of scanning all of the available bones one by one. Check out some of these photos and articles on this exciting project.
